P008 → Typeface

These are a series of type experiments I created after visiting the South London Gallery Fire Station. I was deeply inspired by the building’s rich history and the way it has been renovated into a modern, minimalist space full of energy and clarity.

While the updated design feels clean and contemporary, many of the original architectural features and textures remain intact. Through my type designs, I aimed to bring in a more playful and dynamic visual language—one that adds vibrancy without overshadowing the building’s character. Below is a cover illustration I created, inspired by the façade of the Fire Station, as a personal visual response to the space.

I combined and arranged the typefaces I designed, then screen-printed them onto T-shirts, exploring how typography can exist and communicate through everyday clothing.
